Blog 3: Ghett'a Life Review

Today I'm going to talk about the movie Ghett'a Life, a drama film based in the life about a boxer, Derrick from Jamaica, who aspire tobeing Jamaica’s next world boxing champion.

The political context of Jamaica was divided into two camps, so the problem start when 

Derrick needs to train in a gym directed by the opposite party to his father's who is situated 

in a rival part of the town, and Derrick will have to choose between his father or boxing.

That election will not be easy because he will see how his family suffers, his brother dies at the hands of his father's party and his mother is wounded, who supports him a lot.

Honestly is not my type of movie but I think is a good story because talk about the real life, 

I learned about the reality of other country, the difficult life who some people has because of the political parties like in most countries happens in different ways.

My favorite character was Gully Rat because he was brave and he did justice and tought for the save to all when shoots to Don sin, that’s is my favorite scene because sometimes the bad people who have done a lot of damage deserve be stoped.

Other character who I liked was Dawa, Derrick’s mom, because she supported him in his 

dream in spite of problems. 

I think the movie was good but I don´t like see how the people suffer because is based in a 

real life so I think in the real suffering.
